Here's an article from ESPN about the disappointing PPV undercard last night:
I was disappointed in the undercard last night, and likewise the Pavlik-Hopkins PPV. I don't mind paying out $50 or so, but there should be at least one interesting, competitive fight on the undercard.
Some regular HBO broadcasts like the next three have two or three interesting fights on the card - why couldn't they have had a second good light heavyweight matchup last night, maybe something like Tavoris Cloud vs. Chris Henry? Or they could have scheduled Arreola vs. Walker or Taylor vs. Lacy for this PPV card, and had something else on the regular HBO broadcast.
I think the promoters and HBO are not trying hard enough with these PPVs.
