PPV undercards are failing to deliver

Here's an article from ESPN about the disappointing PPV undercard last night:

I was disappointed in the undercard last night, and likewise the Pavlik-Hopkins PPV. I don't mind paying out $50 or so, but there should be at least one interesting, competitive fight on the undercard.

Some regular HBO broadcasts like the next three have two or three interesting fights on the card - why couldn't they have had a second good light heavyweight matchup last night, maybe something like Tavoris Cloud vs. Chris Henry? Or they could have scheduled Arreola vs. Walker or Taylor vs. Lacy for this PPV card, and had something else on the regular HBO broadcast.

I think the promoters and HBO are not trying hard enough with these PPVs.

Undercards are the main reasons so many users here just stream fights instead of buying them, HBO PPV is a damn ripoff.

They need to either put together better undercards, or allow cable/satellite users to purchase the main event only for like $14.95 or $19.95. Otherwise they'll continue to lose millions to those of us who use the internet as a means of watching PPV events.

This news ain't new. Most PPVs don't give the fans what they paid for.

With about every pay per view, unless its a favorite fighter or marquee fight, then the undercard is what decides if i order or not

yes DLH is FINALLY putting together a great undercard.

But bad undercards are HADLY the promoters fault anymore.

Fans just expect horrible undercards, so they dont show up. So now even if a promoter watned to put on a tremendous undercard, the fans wouldn't show up for it and it would go to waste.

HOwever, for the Latin Fury cards, they have always had entertaining undercards and the fans are always there and cheering for them
