To be fair, Roy was more worn than old.

Roy and Joe are close in age at 39 and 36 respectively.

Roy just didn't have enough gas in reserve for Joe's pressure and unrelenting attack.

Kessler would, the special word for today is WOULD. It's called your opinion. Tyson would beat Bowe, Tyson would beat Ali, Mayweather would beat Duran and Leonard. If didn't happen no need to brag like it has happened. Pavlik resume is better than Kessler

Eubank was weight drained, why didn't he pull out maybe becasue of the money

Still have not yet named me a fighter in Lacy resume worth mentioning

Hopkins was 43 and still knocked him down and got a lucky decison which coud have gone either way

Lacy and Kessler were solid wins. People can debate how high on the podium should they be, but they are solid wins no matter what.

You have to remember that when people don't have anything for a while and something comes along half-way promising, euphoria will set in with a couple of big wins. I never bought into it with Lacy.

Hopkins, past his prime; and Jones Jr. was Shot. This was a given that we all talked about.

I said Lacy was overrated on these boards. I didn't know much about Kessler, but Manny said he was good so I guess I'll base it on that since I never bothered to care to see more than a few of his fights prior to Calzaghe.

Other than that, the rest is for everybody else.

Having shot had little to play in that fight, after the flash kd in the 1st round he did not even press the matter, don't try and kid yourself that roy is so "shot" that he could not even apply pressure for the last 30 seconds of the 1st round, he just stood there like jeff lacy and got hit all night, lay back on the ropes and gave calzaghe angles.
I think almost everyone knew Jones was way past his best he looked much worse than he did against Johnson imo, It looked like he has lost even more of his speed. And Jones hasn't pressed the action for some times he was backing up against the ropes back in 04, people just didn't know how far gone Jones was and imo Joe should have done a better job at finishing the old man off.

It was mentioned a while back. Prior to Ruiz, people started to notice Jones was pot-shotting more and more and throwing less. Sometimes he would turn it on and unload, but nothing like he did when he was younger.

That's why I say anybody over 30 we should start to pay attention.

LOL! All he needed was to show up to the ring with a walker and a seeing eye dog.

LOL, I thought he was going to after seeing him trying to run on 24/7.
