Chad Dawson plans to duck Tavoris Cloud

The IBF always enforce their mandatories. Cloud has already had to wait a little longer while Tarver fought Dawson.

Cloud is a dangerous puncher, younger and quicker than old Johnson. I can see why Dawson will vacate a second title.

The IBF will bend their rules for a Calzaghe-Dawson fight. It's ridiculous that Dawson needs to immediately fight a mandatory.

Chad Dawson doesn't want to fight anyone near his own age.

According to his promoter Gary Shaw, Dawson will not be fighting his hard-punching young mandatory Tavoris Cloud, and will surrender his IBF title.

Dawson wants to continue fighting older men, rather than prime fighters like Kessler, Diaconu, and Cloud.

Prime wise, Dawson is his biggest threat and the most accomplished( only talking prime). He has already beaten Adamek, Johnson, Harding, Tarver ect and he only has 27 fights. What name has Kessler beaten that was as good as Johnson or Tarver even at the time that Dawson beat them? None, and skill wise its pretty clear that Dawson has plenty of advantages over Joe. Dawson is one of the best things going right now in the higher weight classes, and someone would have to be a fool to not give Calzaghe LOTS of credit for a win over him.

We should have a bet. If this fight takes place and Joe beat Dawson, then i will make a thread saying that Joe is a great fighter and so on. HOWEVER, if Dawson beats Joe, then you have to make that same thread about Dawson. We should also have a bet of 150k. I mean, this is how confident i am.

He fought Manfredo because HBO chose him, they wanted a high-profile American boxer so to have a bigger viewing audience.

Sakio Bika is a tough cookie and a decent fighter, and would probably defeat Chad Dawson. He will defeat Manfredo quite easily, wait and see.
