Is it right for a champion to act like Calzaghe did?

    Karma does not discriminate.

Exactly, when Roy does it, hes "putting on a show".

Joe does it, and hes "being a jerk".

    What goes around comes around.

And for the record, as I've said numerous times, I never liked Jones until Tarver knocked him out. I always hated his taunting as well. So this isn't an anti-Calzaghe trip.

So I hope nobody comes at me with that ****.

besides too many obstacles to that fight being made back then.

who'd move up or down in weight? venue? money split? and on and on.

remember if roy was gonna go down to fight a 168 champ......joe would probably take a backseat to ottke.

up to his retirement......ottke has always been rated higher than joe at 168. at least by the american press and ring.
i never said roy was afraid of calzaghe but you all make it seem like joe avoided roy when roy himself said he chose not to fight calzaghe so if the fight did not happen earlier in their careers it was because of jones not calzaghe

Roy regularly went out of his way to not only beat but clown and demean opponents who long before fight time had no business in the ring with him. That he ended with it done to him is not anything less than poetic justice.

Roy did the same thing to Trinidad. A guy who wasn't even his size.. come on now. Roy got a taste of his own medicine.
If the shoe was on the other foot and it was Calzaghe who was soaked in his own blood, I'd be equally on Roy's ass if he acted the way Joe did tonight. Make no mistake about it.

And I don't seem to recall Trinidad being half blind and soaked in blood in that fight.

This is a Bul**** thread. Talking about how Calzaghe clowned Roy and ****. I suppose you did not see the end of the first round when jones just stood up in the middle of the ring staring at Joe after knocking hm down with all his ****iness and ****. He just got his ass handed just the same as jones did it to many other fighters and taunted them in the same manner. Karma's a ***** and it got jones in the worst manner ever, in his final fight.

I'll give you time to do your research, or if you want you can respond to me in another lame generalization and avoid the question entirely.

                It's up to you.
Its irrelevant whether its a bum fighter or a legend.

Roy Jones career was based on his ****iness.

Now that the tables are turned, its a classless act?

Roy was about to start flapping his wings after the knockdown.

Saying that it's wrong to do to an old legend but okay to do it to a prime fighter is wrong IMO.

Jones, Hopkins, Holyfield, Toney and other old fighters knows what they get themselves into when they fight younger and faster fighters.. so there should be no crying about what you can and cannot do to an old fighter.

If you humiliate a prime fighter, it can ruin him on the other hand.

Its the point that it was a nail in the casket fight. Calzaghe was the laying to rest a career of one of the best. If it was wasn't the end of Jones, I wouldn't have cared.
