I really enjoyed the fight and the nerves were there too. Certainly edge of your seat stuff in the 1st few rounds.

Calzaghe went down hard in the 1st and I honestly thought that was the end of him. Replays showed it was a combiantion of a punch and a forearm (accidental). Either way Joe had to drag himself up.

I thought Roy started the showboating and then Calzaghe just outdid him. No harm in it as they both have been known to do it.

Some superb heavy shots in the fight by Roy while Joe landed alot more and landed nice shots to the body.

The fight for Joe was already in the bag for Joe by the time of the cut in the 7th which was horrendous. Full credit to Roy for not quiting or giving up even though he must have sensed he was a beaten fighter.

Joe fought a superb fight tactically and picked his punches well combining them with the flurries when needed.

Now Please retire Joe - I can't take anymore. (Roy should get out aswell after a great final last stand from a Legend)

The party was ill night last night, which is good cuz this is heartbreakin. Props to Joe. The fact that Roy had a legit KD in the 1st that hurt Joe kept my hope alive all nite, but it wasn't happenin. No point in Roy goin on now, although I'm sure he'll take a soft fight to go out wit a win. Gotta give Zag his cred for this.

Anyone who watched the fight sensed that he already knew he was a beaten fighter. I'll give Roy credit for finishing the fight w/ one eye but after the 1st round, heck in the first round I could tell that Roy wasn't what he needed to be to beat Calzaghe. The knockdown was great but from the opening bell, it seemed Roy was content with landing 2 shot combos (which was reduced to 1 shot as the fight went on) as opposed to Zags 3-4-5 punch combos. Like he was countering 3-4 punch combos with just a straight right. Too much going back and laying on the ropes to do anything and for pete's sake, why didn't he put his hands up? By the end of the 3rd round, his eye was already swollen. Once the cut happened (a shock to me b/c he's never been cut before) you could tell his depth perception was off b/c he couldn't hit Joe with his 1 punch counters. He was missing those badly. Just a sad day for Jones' fans to see their favorite fighter bleeding and just beaten and embarrassed with all the hotdogging Joe was doing. Like I've said though, props to Joe for a good comeback after the first round and making the adjustments and picking and out Roy Jones-ing my favorite fighter. Congratulations to him and he and Roy both need to call it a career.

great post man but he only dominated one legend.if you have eyes and a brain that functions, you would know the hopkins fight was extremely close,if anything hopkins won by a point.those compubox numbers at the end were laghable,if he landed that many shots, how come he didnt hurt bhop at all. if you watch the fight over and slow motion every exchange throughout, you can actually count how many clean punches joe landed with two hands.he didnt hit him, period.so why did he win?politics, boxing is a business before its a sport, theres more money to be made in keeping calzaghe undefeated than to give a 43 year old another W.thats why i highly doubt he will give bhop a rematch because i dont think he will take a risk like that, if he does than he truly is brave individual.but if that fight happens, weather in the USA or in wales, hopkins will beat him because he knows the only way for him to win is to dominate, the judges are not going to give him any close decisions.so if calzaghe retires, good for him.but true boxing fans know he aint ****ing with bernard hopkins
