does anyone honestly think european/white fighters are discriminated against

I think just the fact that Pavlik got so much hype and love on boxingscene,
whereas clearly technically superior and flat out better boxers like Calzaghe and Kessler get little to no love proves Euros are discriminated against, and I'm an Asian dude living in Southern California, so theres no reason for me to be biased.Comment

Anyone who includes Calzaghe as a European fighter who is discriminated against is out of their mind...
He gets love in bucketloads from a lot of people.
He also gets hate, but... that still doesn't qualify him for discrimination.
It's guys like Kessler and Abraham who get no love, even though they are obviously very good fighters.Comment

They don't get credit for their accomplishments cuz most don't see em if they do all their business overseas. I don't think they're hated on overall, except by a few biased dumbasses. But it's understandable not to acknowledge a fighter you've maybe read about but never really seen in action a lot.Comment

Now I'm back to thinking that perhaps Taylor was just the perfect elite opponent to show Pavlik's strengths.Comment
