yeah we all know out of both of their fights one was a classic beat down, the other was a hard punch that landed to hurt Q in one round. We all know which fight was a fluke and it wasn't the first one. I wouldn't say it was 9-3. Though I didn't score the fight it did look close. (I'll DL, rewatch and score and let you know some other time what I got)
Margarito was kicking and screaming rematch after the fight because he felt he had been "robbed" though I dont think he was, but Williams never gave him it.. I think Margarito is just making him wait and pay now for not giving it to him then now that he beat Cotto and is getting praise. It's going to be a while until he does too.. if he does fight Mosley and win, his next fight will be Cotto.

Wit all the PBF and Marg talk goin on today for no apparent reason, I knew it was only a matter of time before Pwill's name was brought into the mix in a thread like this. Here's the facts:

Pwill clearly UD'd Marg in a good fight, but did so in July '07, and Marg was not ranked as the #1 WW at that time. Therefore, Pwill cannot be logically called #1 based on that win.

Marg KO'd Cotto in July '08, and Cotto was ranked as the #1 WW at the time that fight took place. Therefore, Marg is the #1 WW in the sport right now.

Pwill is Marg's top challenger and should get a shot next year. Until he gets it and defeats Marg again, Marg is #1 and he is #2, or 1b to Marg's 1a.

who did cotto beat to become #1???

it was a 3 way race between cotto, marg, and pwill. as the winner of pwill/marg, pwill should've got the shot against cotto, but due to arum he didn't.

we won't know who's #1 at WW until marg rematches Pwill.
