Saying Gomez is a ''tomato can'' or whatever just shows a lot of ignorance. There's no other heavyweight with the natural talent Gomez has.

It probably won't make for an exciting fight, I'll admit that. But if someone earns the right then they deserve it regardless. Gomez would have beaten Peter as easily as Klitschko did, by the way, albeit probably to a decision.
Dog I'm glad they makin this fight. We can see Klitschko tested or the Panther get's KO'd and retired, buh for either reason I'm excited for it and I think it should be entertaining.

WBC is right, Gomez fought for the mandatory right twice. I believe he will keep it competitive against Vitali.

Vitali may get a fight with Valuev and Haye, but he surely will have to deal with Gomez first.

Haye should stay as far away as possible from Vitali

Or was it the win over 79 year old crackhead Oliver Mccall that "earned" him the right to face the #1 heavyweight of all time?
Gomez is one of the best Ctruiserweight Champions since.......Spinks. I believe that he had at least 10 defences, all or nearly all against top opposition and won mostly by KO.Ive seen him fight several times, and, although I think he keeps his hasnds far too low, he does this to show his superiority to his opponent, and he's always right. He has a terrific record. It's just his personal atupidity in the past7-8 years which has kept him from at least one Heavyweight Title.

youve got to be kidding me? mcall was nothing more than a journeyman that got lucky catching an unfocused ll walking into a punch . he wasnt a good boxer in his prime let alone at 40. he couldnt beat devarrol williamson for crying out loud and lost to a shot muscle bound bruno. beating mcall and a slow one dimensional virchis as your 2 biggest wins is hardly impressive. he was an excellent cruiserweight but I still have my doubts on him as a heavyweight. he should have easily been able to get by diaz coked out or not. he would not have beaten peter as easily as vit did and I wouldnt be surprised at all if peter would have clubbed him to submission although I think gomez would have been able to win a decision. vitali stops gomez within 8 rounds imo

Gomez is definitely NO tomato-can, only an ignoramus could say such a thing, he's been one of the very best Cruiserweight Champions of the last 20 years or so with 10 defences, all but ONE by KO, and, if he stayed there, could very well STILL be Champ, with, very likely 20 defences record or so. He would have been a Heavyweight Champ years ago if he weasn't so ****** with both his mouth and his personal life.

Still, Klitschko is absolutely the converse of being a "blowhard", and if he said it, I believe him, and I don't know why others don't. It seems to me that BOTH Klitschkos, particularly Vitaly, are extra-special when it comes to Heavyweight quality, and it's difficult to think of ANYONE who even approaches their super-high level.

VK's performance against Sam Peter the other week is a fair example of what I mean. After nearly 4 years out of the ring, and at the very mature age of 37, and having had to rehabilitate froom a career ending injury, which many doctors said would prevent him from ever fighting again,.....welll this is no ordinary fighter.

He made the Nigerian Nightmare into a very ordinary, docile "mare", which nobody else, except his brother WK was able to do.
