Still, it's legal. If a guy is guarding Allen Iverson in a complacent manner and AI crosses him and drops a layup on him, it still counts.
If you get KO'ed over some ****** s---, shame on you and nobody else.Comment

I call those "silent agreements," like don't hurt me kind of stuff. To some people it relaxes them to have their opponents show signs of humanity. They don't want to face someone who is cold-blooded and looking to kill them.Exactly and to add on they just touched gloves a few seconds before. Why did they need to do it again?
Me personally I always hated to shake my opponents hand before a football or basketball game. I don't like them before the game after is something different. **** during a football game after I made a tackle I wouldn't accept a helping hand from a opposing player to get up after the play was over.
Its not right but "PROTECT YOURSELF AT ALL TIMES"
Ever notice how Ricardo Mayorga touched gloves with Tito Trinidad before the eighth round and Freitas did the same thing the round he quit in against Corrales? It's a concession of weakness, they both knew they were done and were showing signs of surrender.Comment

That guy done nothing illegal there.
He just certified his right to be a bonafide nasty ****. It is fighting and you can be hurt and it's you or that guy.
Look at this vid posted here on NSB the other day
The real fighting men, the real horrible bastards forget all sense of propriety in the heat of battle and the aim of the game is to hurt your opponents.
I can't condone that kind of behaviour because I'm soft, but I can't berate it either because their mindset can be one of pure hate as a means of self preservation,Comment

like i said its not illegal but its unsportmanlike imo, ya i know protect yourself at all times. i;ve seen other fighters pull the same **** at the beginning of the fight. theres an honorable way to win, and then theres this. this is a dangerous sport, i understand that and respect all fighters who come out and risk their lives but i cannot respect a fighter who pulls **** like this.
all fighters fight dirty low-blows, elbows heads, thats part of the game but this is just a little too dirty for me.Last edited by -Boxzilla-; 11-06-2008, 10:27 PM.Comment

pedan took an opportunity while he was getting clowned, the dude on the right took an opportunity while he was being shown some respect that he didn't deserve, idk that's just my opinionYou know it can be scary going up into that ring and if he is trash because he DIDN'T break the rules then i'd had to read what you call someone who actally sucker punchs a person while looking the other way. Where do you think the boxer going to shake hands was looking at, instead of the floor he should of been looking at his opponet.
And what Pedan did is what the fighter on the right did. Yet, you feel less compasion for Campbell cause he wasn't knocked out cold.Comment
