Chavez Jr. any good??

This is a real question, I know alot of people make threads like this to start ****. I want ti know everyones real opinion on the kid. I have never seen him fight and was considering buying his fights on dvd. First I wanted to know if this guy is all hype because of his father, or if he gots decent skills for a 22 year old with no amature background. Does he seem to have what it takes to someday be a serious contender, or does it seem like he will continue fighting tune-up type guys and riding his fathers name as long as he can ?

This is for people who have actually seen the kid box and got an intelligent assessment of how he fights. NO HATERS!!

people are idiots and just hate him for no reason like the two above. Watch his fights and come to your own conclusion. People talk about vanes, angulo, and kirkland but chavez has better technique and better body work than all these guys. he's coming along he will be good!!! I can bet that he has the best left hook to the body in the division even as a youngster. he works you on top then hits you hard to the body with that hook, it's killer and nice to see!

yes he is. Last weeks fight against vanda was pretty impressive. Of course you'll have the idiot that will always downplays everything but it's most filled with hate for chavez because he has such a strong fanbase and following because who his dad is. Some of it might be because they can't afford to watch his fights. He's definitly improving! He want's a title shot next year and arum is more than willing to put him in a title fight before vanes gets one.

I really can't tell, well he's still young but the thing is that he already got 40+ fights, enough to step up with the competition yet no sign of him doing the business with the top dogs, I really think that he should step it up soon, even if he would encounter losses those are big stepping stone and would shape him well. After all he is a Chavez and Mexicans would always love him.

At this point it's still a tossup. He appears to have talent...he appears to be the heir apparent to his pop's throne but this could be an optical illusion since he is still very much being protected from the bigger more tougher competition out there...that being said that's the exact same path JCC sr took and look how that turned out...I will say that this kid has MAD potential but that's all it is at this time...just potential...time will tell if he is the real deal or not...he has yet to have that fight that will earn him respect as a great fighter...but that will come...it's just a matter of time...after that fight we will know more...all these other idiots saying he sucks and he’s no good or wut not need to get off the Hateraide…ignant bitches…
