The USA-UK/British "Rivalry"

In boxing there really is no Rivalry. In big matchups the best of the UK have not matched up with the best from the USA. People are so obsessed when it comes to who they root for that they have to be the best. It's okay not to be the best, Uk has produced decent fighters but not on American level.

At the end of the day, it's about entertainment. Give me talent, and I'm watching.

You see, young andrew...that's another problem many of you have...at your core, you just don't like each other and can't get along....I guess that's why The U.K. is so feeble in general.....because you're not even "United".

Wales is one of the countries that constitutes Great Britain, so thank you for proving my point about your lack of geography knowledge.

Considering that the US is much larger than the UK, boxing if far more popular over there and you have a population 5x greater than us, is it really surprising that America has many, many good fighters. Just a numbers game mate.

a) Take a look at the Olympics: the countries with large populations that plough money into sport always do very well: China, Russia and the US.

b) Consider football, specifically Brazil and Argentina. Big countries where football is incredibly popular. Arguably the to greatest football players of all time, Pele and Maradona hail from those two countries.

Being born American does not make you a better fighter than being born elsewhere. There are far more coaches, boxing gyms and awareness of the sport in the states. Simple.
