Some of you guys are going way too far with this. Joe's comments were made to The Sun, apparently. You have to understand what kind of bull**** comes out in that paper. They lie.

Unless you see Joe saying this on video or something, you should take it with a pinch of salt.

I think he has said similar comments before (and he is not completely wrong) but I wouldn't trust The Sun.

It's probably simple fight hype if it's true, I'm sure Calzaghe realizes that he is not going to be the fan favorite against Roy in America so he might as well play along by being the villain.

well that may be true, personally i think joe has wanted to leave the sport a little while ago, and i think he had sort of a "retirement plan" for leaving... stay undefeated and get a good bankroll... not exactly bad ideas... So obviously, as Floyd Maweather has proven... **** talking does sell...

It's a good way to hype the fight if Joe is looking to make it a UK vs US event but it will hurt his attempt to make himself a big name in the U.S.
