Is he the new Centrepiece of American Boxing? Or is that still Pavlik? Or Lacy?
Ive lost track.
pavlik is still the s---. but at the same time, he was another big time puncher. that's what ppl like. i've never seen him as a good defender or counter-puncher. he was nearly KO'ed by taylor! but pavlik's a helluva 'offensive' fighter. even still.
dawson has the complete package. sure he an tighten up a lil bit defensively. but he's an excellent counter puncher, fast as hell, and actually packs a decent punch, even tho his KO numbers aren't impressive. he's actually faster than joe, and he hurt joe bad if they fight......joe knows.
whats funny is that i read joe quoted as saying he may not retire for good. he cannot say. "if some young upstart, showed up that he could teach a lesson to, he'd welcome a comeback if the right opportunity presented itself..." funny chad dawson is right there......i've never heard joe mention him.

I wouldve thought the centre piece of American Boxing wouldve dealt comfortable with a "43 year old corpse" as you described him.
Who's flavour of the week now?
Hmm, so basically that never happened and you admit it. Gotcha.
People can't handle weight jumps. It happens. Some of us aren't so small ****ed that we'll tie our emotional existence to how our countries boxers perform.
But since you are, I'll remind you: Joe did not fight him. Nor did any Brit or a Euro fight or beat him. So your point is still pretty ******ed, if there very was one.
And old American beats another American you you think it's a victory for the UK? Only you could be so fixated and sad at the same time.

But I do understand the point someone else mentioned before: Paul Williams, to me, is the man at 147 even though he isn't regarded to be.
Margarito should want to fight him but he knows he will lose again.
Williams is trying to make every fight possible but nobody is willing to fight him. He even has to go to other division to get fights; that's sad.
I want to see people fighting him. He lost once, so he isn't invincibe; even though he won the rematch in great fashion.
