boxing has gained alot of steam in mexico. 10 years ago there was many places that didn't even have electricity or tv's. All those places are now equipped with tv's and soccer and boxing are always on at my cousins house. I was just there last week tue, wed, thur, and my cousins were wanting me to stay till saturday because they were going to watch the chavez jr fight lol

I can bet you will not find a guy in mexico that has winky as their favorite fighter. he calls mexicans that live in the united states poches and fake mexicans yet he speaks just as much english as we do

me and him have gone at it before. We have different opinions on things and he likes to think that he's the face of mexico on these boards and speaks for millions of mexicans. How can you claim boxing is dead in mexico? Will boxing ever die in mexico???? don king holds a fight with some black dude and some other foreign guy and it's sold out, chavez jr can sell out any arena in mexico, as can margarito, vasquez, JMM, arce, and just about any other mexican so how is boxing dead? he claims mexicans don't have nothing else to do. I could bump the thread if you want to see the actual argument but i don't care enough to try to find it. He's entitled to his own opinion. Roy jones jr, trinidad, tyson are my favorite fighters so this has nothing to do with who you like making you what you are.
