    Chavez Jr. and Arce...

That's really messed up, because Mexico has so many great fighters, and they pick hype job #1 and hype job #2 instead of the guys who have been producing great result after great result.
yea very shameful, but i think they outa be more proud of arce than chavez jr. I can name you 20 fighters right now outa mexico with more potential than chavez jr.

To be considered a Top Dog.. you have to fill some pretty big shoes.
Has any of these fighters came close to filling Morales or Barrera's shoes?
IMO Mexico still belongs to those two.. though old now but they are still the face of boxing in Mexico.

There's many factors that decide how popular you are and how good you are is just one of many.

yeah well the reason for that like i said is mexicans are not educated on boxing.......arce was known for big brother and chavez is known because of his father.........besides the great mexican fighters are too big time for televisa and tvazteca.....thats why small fry who like the attention mexican media gives are the ones that get hyped up.......

Marquez has done more than enough to fill that IMO.

I also think it is a travesty that Castillo never got the love those two got. Castillo did just as much as those two in his incredible run in the lightweight division, but no one seems to want to recognize it.

So do you rank Solis over Rafael Marquez?

I seriously know next to nothing about Solis.
Solis is not ahead of rafa marquez, solis is a brawler boxer kinda sloppy sometimes if you ask me. Rafa is a very good all around boxer, to me its a landslide. Solis shoudnt be mentioned in the same sentence with any of the Marquez bros.

And I've heard him give lots of praise to Mexican fighters... he is just not limited to such.

I think you probably just have a negative opinion of him because he doesn't particularly care for Margarito, and I know you are such a big fan.
lol no it has more to do than that. It doesn't bother me if someone doesn't like margarito. Winky is his favorit fighter for crying out loud How do you know he lives in mexico? I can bet you will not find a guy in mexico that has winky as their favorite fighter. he calls mexicans that live in the united states poches and fake mexicans yet he speaks just as much english as we do

JMM has done more than enough to fill those shoes, Margarito is on his way to do so (maybe).
