we had a chat with BHop last week and he said that he doesn't see Dawson as the type that could generate interest only amongst the hardcore so he probably wouldn't pursue it. He also said that if Jones doesn't win Sat then he is 99% sure Oct 18th was his last fight.

if Jones wins then Hopkins Jones must be done...would be to good of a classic, and im sure that would be more entertaining than their first meeting

Not enough of a build-up for Hop to take it seriously. If it don't make money, it don't make sense.

Agreed. I dont think he can beat Chad. Chad is TOO busy ..too quik. FMJ said that Dawson was the best p4p fighter in the world. Dawson cant even break dance...

You mean the torch he no longers carries since losing to Calzaghe?

Hopkins would make Dawson look like a fool in there.

Johnson make Dawson look amatuer, and he doesn't have anywhere near half the skills Bernard does.

            Hopkins by Shutout.

**** the B-HOP vs. Calzaghe fight neither of them won that fight to me. B-HOP and Johnson fight 2 totally different styles so that is bad comparison when trying predict what might happen in a B-HOP vs. Dawson fight.

bhop beating dawson wouldn't prove anything. bhop has already slain a young lion. bhop needs to get revenge for his losses to rjj and calz.

bhop doesn't need to continue building on his career (which is what fighting dawson would be) bhop needs to finish these final grudge matches. if he can't get either calz or rjj in the ring he should just retire.

the reason why calz should fight dawson is because he still needs to build on his career. you have to admit that calzaghe's resume is back heavy and very lean in the front and middle.

Appeal hardcore fans? No one wants to see Jones vs Hopkins II, both of them should be retired by now. I really hope Calzaghe wins, retires, and doesn't give Hopkins a rematch.

And I would say Hopkins would fight Dawson depending if Gary Shaw gives him the $$. If Gary Shaw could give Hopkins 4 million dollars to fight Dawson on Showtime than I see it happening. Dawson has stated that he wants to fight Hopkins. The problem is, Gary Shaw is a ****ing cheap ass and most of his fighters fight on Showtime. Dawson can really use a new promoter.
