what was wrong with Kelly Pavlik ??

what was wrong with Kelly Pavlik if anything??

im not trying to take away from Hopkins win allthough i will probably get accused of it by some moron its just be honest with yourself where was Pavlik at i understand the target was different from what he normally faces etc but he was not throwing punches period even in the first and 2nd round he did nothing i kept thinking in a minute Pavlik is going to start letting it go but he never did i know majority of that was down to B Hop but surely there had to be something wrong with Pavlik maybe the weight was a problem for him i dont know

im glad Hopkins won i expected Pavlik to win cause of Nards age and his lack of activity in the Calzaghe fight

i would not expect an active Pavlik to beat Hopkins having seen that fight but surely it would of been closer had Pavlik turned up albeit he would of still lost, im glad Hopkins won im more of a Hopkins fan than a Pavlik fan i just wanted to get other peoples view on whether Pavlik was not all there that night

nothing was wrong with pavlik outside of the fact that he doesn't exactly have the body to be moving up past 160 and still being good. He wasn't bale to get off his punches because hopkins was moving away from his right hand. hopkins foot work was super and he was able to confuse pavlik.

That's the same thing I was thinking. Pavlik through nearly nothing significant. I think Hopkins style was to much for him. He needs a guy to stand in front of him and fight in order to score big. Still, I felt something definitely discouraged him through the fight and he just kind of stop trying to win.

Exactly, Pavlik likes to remain flat-footed in front of his opponent to set up punches but Hopkins didn't allow him to get off by constantly moving to the right and beating him to the punch.

Pavlik got hurt early and knew from the first round he couldn't win. That's it. He froze, just like Mijares against Darchinyan the other night. Hopkins presented Kelly with a style he couldn't figure out.

              I heard he had bronchitis.

thats kind of serious, but its not a huge deal. it spread to my roommate and I ended up getting it, but I kicked its ass pretty easily.

Moby's ****. I said this months ago. If there'd been a different ref then he would have been a footnote in boxing history that read "Taylor TKO2 Moby".
