This fight is bull****. Ruiz just got whoooped by former flyweight(112lbs) Champion Eric Morel at 118lbs(Bantamweight). And he is fighting at 122 with a natural 122. This is ridiculous. They should start putting guys with people there own weight. Batista should be fighting Juanma not Ruiz, Thats why he is the #1 Contender for. He should be fighting the Champ!!!!!

Heriberto Ruiz IS a step-up in competition. That's how pathetic his past opponents were. What do you expect, Bautista is a product of the famous ALA gym of Cebu.

i hope bautista learned his lesson with ponce de leon. the next time he fight, he should stick with the gameplan. deviation in the gameplan is allowed only when the right opportunity come.

I think this is a tough fight for Bautista because Ruiz can actually fight. Yeah he's coming off a loss but it's to a very good fighter in Morel.

Both guys spent significant parts of their career as bantamweights. This will be a tough fight for Bautista, Ruiz is probably the second best fighter he's ever faced.
