I disagree completely. If you watch the fight again, Donaire found that flaw before he KO'd him and was waiting for him to lunge in so he could counter him with the left hook. He caught him with that left hook a few times before the big punch came. I think the rematch could be more competitive but Donaire is a smarter fighter than Darchinyan. Of course Vic has the punchers chance but truth be told, he did nothing different in his fight against Mijares then he did against Donaire. He was still wild. Darchinyan's defense is his offense. He bullies people in the ring and thus far it's worked on everyone but Donaire. I was actually favoring Mijares to win by out boxing Darchinyan but he didn't fight his usual fight. Donaire will box Darchinyan again and will do the exact same thing unless Darchinyan accrues an actual defense.

P.S. I think the rematch needs to be made. I'm so tired of promoters crying over spilled milk. They need to get over themselves and do what's best for the fighters and the fans.

Well I agree that Donaier is a bad match up for Vic, Vic is wide open and he can get caught with that punch again. I'm huge Vic fun, but the punch that Donaier was landing all day long that was not a lucky punch, he was waiting Vic to come to him and catch him....But now Vic has his long time amatuer trainer in his corner and it's seems that he is doing good job by giving Vic some good advices in Mijares fight and find a great gameplan to neutralize Mijares. I remeber after Donaier fight Badalyan (name of the coach) told that they speak with Vic before the Donaier fight and he gave him some advices to Vic but Vic from the begining was fighting a bad fight and doing everything wrong, so now when he has him in his corner I think Vic gonna be more patiant and can find a good gameplan against Nonito and Knock him out.

Shaw is mad because Nonito left him. This is whats wrong with boxing when the promoters make it about THEMSELVES instead of making it about the fighters. So Shaw's feelings got hurt? Big ****ing deal. I bet if it was up to Vic he'd like to fight Nonito again.

It would be like if Darchinyan gave Mijares a rematch. He already dominated him and KO'd him.

The rematch would probably be closer though, I'll admit it.
the rematch is warranted because Vic is now a unified champ. he has worked his way back to the top. that doesn't mean nonito has to fight vic right away but he should if he can't make any other fights.

It should happen, and I think Vic wants it, I just don't think it'll ever happen. It's unfortunate because there aren't many big fights that could happen for Darchinyan otherwise.

He was outboxing Darchinyan, and had him hurt in round 3 as well, remember?
darch beat mijares.great.but does anybody here who isn't a fan boy, and see's how donaire beat him the first time actually think vic beats him? hell no.he got countered as he tried to use that same uppercut he beat mijares with.
                nonito made him finito.

Mijares stood right in front of Mijares and didn't use his own jab. Darchinyan doesn't really jab, he measures and if you stand in front of Darchinyan and let him measure, he can find the range with his left hand. Donaire is more mobile and changes the range more frequently, though with his renewed confidence, you have to consider Darchinyan a live underdog.

And as I just noticed D had said, Darchinyan hit Donaire with his best shot and Nonito didn't go anywhere. He stood right in front of Vic, hit him and hurt him more than just the one time. He was stunned bad at the end of the 3rd.
