Since that defeat so far it is still Vic that has made the better opportunities and has now done something never before in the history of the sport by unifying the SFW titles against one of the best P4P'ers in the world and a guy that was meant to easily beat him.

If Donaire keeps winning and dominating the division he is in and Vic keeps doing it eventually they may have to meet again. One: because Vic lost last time everyone will keep saying that he is better, and Two: even though Donaire beat him, it is Vic that is currently a much bigger champion with much greater accomplishments and who is now the unified champion of his second division.

All champions eventually lose, well, nearly all. If the guy they lose to is still fighting and winning with them, then that match up will always keep coming up. If they out-grow that particular fighter though, or if the other guy disappears or gets beaten himself by more mediocre opposition and never regains the status he once had then that loss becomes obsolete. It is dependent on both fighters, especially if one, as Vic is doing at the moment, is going on to bigger and better things and making more from the loss than the other guy that actually won.

Just look at an old fight. Kostya Tszyu was a huge up and coming prospect who had just won his first title in his 14th fight. A couple of fights later he fought a decent fighter Vince Phillips who beat him. Everyone said "Oh he's done" etc etc etc, but instead of Phillips going to become a great fighter it was Tszyu that made the opportunities and went on to become one of this generations greatest fighters, while Vince went back to relative obscurity. The loss is still a boon on his record and he never avenged it but he went on to beat opponents ten times greater and win so much more to the point where it really didn't matter.

What happens to both fighters depends on both fighters. What if Donaire goes up and loses to some guy that he was meant to beat and then loses again? What if Vic keeps winning and moves on to win in a third division? Too much gets played on one loss these days. There are a lot of Filipino's in this thread. Pac never went back and beat the guys that knocked him cold out did he, but he went on to bigger and better things and so that gets put out of consideration. You guys aren't calling him a bum that needs to go back and beat those two guys are you?
You couldnt have said it better. I agree with you 100%.

Manny Pacquiao was knocked out cold by Rustico Torrecampo (11-3-0) and Medgoen Singsurat. Until he avenges these losses he will never be better then them.

That is the logic of a lot of dumbasses in this forum.

R U Kidding me, Donaire is so glad that Shaw hates his gutz. Donaire knows he'll get ktfo early, real early if he ever steps into ring with Vic. my wish is to see Donaire's reaction if shaw and arum agree to the fight. Donaire will not have the balls to fight Vic again. You can see it from the first fight when Donaire ko'd Vic that he was so grateful he got the chance and so grateful that he luckily landed... Vic would absolutely murder him. Vic just blew out a #8 p4p and Donaire, last time i checked wasn't ranked even close to that.

I see all these biches avoiding Vic and fighting each other for nothing, just to avoid ****ting in their pants inside the square ring!!! hahahah, Armenian Power!!!!!

The guy has heart as he got to his feet, but was still out of it. Still don't see the problem with Vic wanting a rematch since Donaire gonna move up and Vic is the Man in that division
EXCELLENT POST MAN! GREEN K to you! I always thought the match was even going to the 5th. The kO was not a lucky punch, clean have no problems with that. The Pinoy fans are becoming very delusional with this vik thing lately, actually cheering for vic because he beat a mexican then turning around and saying vik aint ****? I always respected most phillipino posters but a lot of them are being pretty ****** in there remarks about this a vik and donaire rematch.

In Fact, Darchinyan Has A Better Career Path Now Than Donaire Even Though Doniare Beat Him. He Has The Better Possible Opponents, Is The Undisputed Champ Etc Etc. Donaire's One Great Achievement So Far Is That He Beat The Guy Who was Number One At Flyweight And Who Has Now Come Back, Improved His Game And Beaten The Much More Lauded Fighter And Reigning Champion In Mijares.

Nonetheless, I Agree, I Don't Think Vic Could Beat Donaire. Perfect Style To Beat Him. The One Thing That Has Noticeably Changed Though Since That Fight Is His Defense And Skill. He Is Now Throwing Combinations, Not Coming In As Wildly All The Time And Has Actually Become Reasonably Hard To Hit. He Has Certainly Improved Quite A Lot. It Could Make A Rematch Much Closer And Even Competitive. I Would Still Take Donaire. Too Tall, Too Much Reach And A Lot Of Power In His Counters.

Still, Tha Fact Is That Vic Has More Careers Options Than Donaire At This Point. He Has Just Beaten A Much Greater Fighter Than Any Of Their Opponents And Has Already Ruled The Division That Donaire Is In For Years. He Has Some Great Opponents To Fight At Sfw, So It Really Lies With Vic At The Moment. Darchinyan Has Come Back And Made More From Losing Already Than Donaire Has Made Of Beating Vic.
          Green K Excellent Post!

There's no need for a rematch.. Vic clearly got outboxed, schooled and dominated. He got knockout and do the chicken dance against Donaire. What's the point of a rematch?

You're wrong Shaw indicated he will never give Donaire a rematch against Vic again.. You know why? Because we know what happened to his price fighter.

Espada whats up with the hating buddy? Who has Donaire beaten besides Vic Darchinyan?

On the other hand Vic has beaten:
                    Cristian Mijares
                    Dmitri Kirilov
                    Z Gorres
                    Irene Pacheco
                    and much much more.....

                    Donaires Resume
                    Vic Darchinyan
