Valuev doesn't want to fight Holyfield

He says Sauerland wants the fight because it will make more money. Here's the article from *********:

    Valuev Team statement!

    Sunday, November 2 2008

    By Alexey Potapov

Boris Dimitrov, Nikolai Valuev's manager has informed *********.com of new details involving Valuev's upcoming fight in December: "Nikolai, I and Don King, as before, we oppose a Valuev-Holyfield fight. This is the initiative of Sauerland Event. They wish to make this fight because of money. I wish to find a worthy contender for the boxer. I can inform you that Nikolai will fight on December 20th this year in the Swiss city Zürich. As far as I know, there are restrictions on age for professional boxers in Switzerland. The fight will not be in Germany. Don King and I want a fight with Andrew Golota. Yes, on November 7th Golota will box against Ray Austin, but Don King considers that in one and a half months he can be ready to fight with Valuev. If Golota refuses, we will agree on a fight against Holyfield."

Well, despite being 40 years old, at least he's ranked in the top 5 in the WBA. Holy ain't even ranked.

Good news that Holyfield seems out of the picture, but its pretty bad that Golota enters. What has he done to deserve yet another shot?

Some guy who KO'ed Kevin McBride and ended up being on the chief undercard w/ Andrew Golota on the Roy Jones Jr.-Tito Trinidad undercard.
