another bad stoppage

Not nearly as bad a stoppage as the Dirrell fight because Mthalane was starting to slow and Donaire was surging but it was an overall flat performance by Donaire.

It might have had something to do with Donaire's 10 month layoff, maybe he was looking past Mthalane to Arce, who knows. Anyways, the cut was pretty bad and eventually would have needed to be stopped. I guess the ref thought Mthalane wasn't going to pull it out so why risk it.

Donaire looked good in the first two rounds but Mthalane was beating him to the punch the next 4.. Donaires confidence level looked like it was dropping he looked as if he was trying anything to confuse Mthalane like switching stances while his face was getting marked up bad. Mthalane threw less and landed more. I wonder what would have happened if the fight wasnt stopped over a cut that couldnt be seen...
