How Do you think Mayweather would do against welterweights?

We all know that Mayweather has fought one true welterweight and that was a past prime DLH.

How do you all think Mayweather would do against True Welterweights and True power?

Zab Judah was a light welterweight, Ricky Hatton was a light welterweight, Mitchell was a light welterweight and Baldomir was a feather fisted slow welterweight.

We all know that those fighters should not label you as p4p welterweight king.

So how would Mayweather do against these fighters in prime?

Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley, Felix Trinidad, Miguel Cotto, Ike Quartey, Paul Williams, Cory Spinks, Ricardo Mayorga and Joshua Clottey?

Honestly? I wouldn't care to see Floyd fight those guys. He gets so much flak for fighting boring fights because he DOES NOT BELONG at welter. He was a much more exciting fighter when he was fighting guys his own size. If he comes back, I hope he does so at 140.

Its not that I don't think he can't beat most of the guys you listed. Its more that I think he wouldn't get ANY credit for doing so because he would have to fight a safety first type fight. Everyone would say "Floyd won, but he just ran."

Mayweather would be the favorite against almost all those fighters IMO. Of course if he fought them all he would probably lose sometimes.

I think he'd probably drop a decision to Margarito. Floyd is way too small and the physicality would be an issue I think. Floyd, to win, would have to throw many more punches than he did against other aggressive fighters -Hatton and De la Hoya, and defence is too important to him to let him throw more punches than in those fights. Floyd knew that was a bad style match. I mean, he could make Tony miss, and he would land quick, sharp punches, but over a 12 round period, constantly being chased would sap his energy. Marg would likely take a decision in my opinion.

He'd beat Shane, no question, he's quicker and smarter and fights harder, better defence, he's in his prime, I just don't see how Shane could hurt him at all.

I think he'd beat Cotto, he'd make him miss something awful and counter brutally, against Tito he'd probably outbox the 'Rican, he'd come out on top in a tough fight with Ike, Paul Williams hmmmm not sure, big physical challenge again though Floyd could pick him off like Quintana did in their first fight with counter right hands, he'd be too good for Spinks and Mayorga, and Clottey also though that'd be another physical assignment we can all ponder on.

Margarito would KO Mayweather he's got no power to keep him off him, and Marg would get him cornered eventually.
