Has Joe ever been hit with anything like Roy has?

I mean the punch B-Hop landed on him wasn't even a brutal shot for real and that sat him down in the first round, question is has he ever been blasted like Jones has by Tarver or Johnson?

the Johnson punch was weak, it wasnt really the punch that KO'd Jones that time.

but that Tarver punch would dropped anybody, and i dont think iv seen calzaghe take a punch like that.

A bigger question though is, can Calzaghe take a Roy Jones Bodyshot?

The shot Byron Mitchell floored him with was probably harder than both. Kessler also ripped him with some brutal straight rights and uppercuts. Calzaghe has a great chin.

How is that relevent? That had nothing to do with power, it was a flash KD, half a push. More to do with balance. Calzaghe wasnt hurt.

lol i dont think the punch mitchell hit joe with was a hard as the tarver punch.. but i do think the punches that knocked roy out had more to do with the weight loss factor more than anything.. i dont think roy has a steel chin or anything though

Calzaghe has taken a big amount of punishment on his chin from big punches so its fair to say his chin is granite.

his body? i've never seen him get many of those besides a few off kessler and mitchell.

i don't think it's easy to hit his body though, he doesn't offer it to his oponents so it's very hard to hit.

yeah at first i was really surprised to see joe go down because hopkins has enough snap but he doesn't have the power that some other fighters that joe has faced has, after all the last time bernard scored a KO i think it was over DLH (60% sure).

the replay showed that after the punch there was a definete push from b-hop.

joe has taken bombs from alo of fighters eubank, kess, mitchell all of these guys are strong and powerful punchers and they all caught joe at one point or another, yet joe manged to defeat each and every one of them. not once have i seen joe hurt, he has been knocked down but his eyes stay focused and legs dont go wobbly.

that was not a push that knocked joe down.. it was a clean punch that sent him down
