Do Mexican fighters age quicker than other fighters?

After Floyd beat Oscar a lot of the Mexicans claimed that it was because Oscar was old. Even though Oscar was only 34 & just 4 years older than Floyd. After Oscar beat Chavez in their fights. A lot of the Mexicans claimed it was only because Chavez was old. Chavez was 38. Fighters like Calzaghe, Jones, Hopkins, Moslet, etc continue to fight & have beat great fighters late into their 30s.

When Mosley lost a close decision to Cotto last year I didn't hear any Black people making excuses for him because he was too old even though he was a decade older than Cotto. So I am just wondering do the Mexicans feel they age quicker than other races?

mexicans don't age any faster or slower, but as for mexicans boxers, for sure they age faster because of the way they fight. just look at JLC. he was a bad ass until the wars with chico and suddenly it was like he hit a wall.

dlh is not that old... past his prime, but not old.

Alotta Mexicans use that block punches with your face defense.. If you do that, you'll turn old faster...

they start their careers early and are not as protected as the american prospects
therefore u rarely see a mexican contender with an inflated record, when they have their first fights at the us they already been in fights with other tough mexicans for example larios vazquez marquez castillo and thats why they are usually past prime at 29 like morales
of course guys like calzaghe who are very protected can fight as long as 36 37 years of age
and chavez is an exception a guy with so many fights usually takes more punishment than guys that fight twice a year like hopkins

yah, I agree with the other posters. If they(Mexicans) had better defense they wouldn't age so fast
