Why do y'all hate Cotto?

There's never any bashing involved. I just pose questions designed to make Boxing Scene members evaluate whether or not Cotto is a tad bit overrated.

Why is he overrated, He wasn't undefeated like most undefeated fighters where you can make a case that maybe they lost a few decisions here and there and got lucky. Everyone he ever beat was done convincingly, everyone is intitled to his own opinion tho.

He is willing to get in the ring with anybody. No one wanted to fight Margo.. Cotto fought him. He's looking at Berto or Cintron as a comeback fight..
Those are not tune-up type opponents at all.

I hear dudes talking **** about his record but Williams, Clottey, Margarito or any of the other young welters right now don't have the resume he does.

He is no bull****, fights anybody, stays active and doesn't talk ****..
the only reason I can see for someone hating him so much is envy.

even puerto ricans don't support him because he doesn't fight for his country like tito and juanma.

that first thread was just a joke. The second one was constructive criticism, but I was criticizing the people who overrate him.

I don't post about Cotto that much. It's just that Cotto is the most talked about fighter on the message board today and I'm taking part in the conversation.

I dont hate him. He just has no personality and seems so serious all the time, that I cant really get myself to root for him all that much. But he is a hell of a fighter and he takes on big names.

I dont think that many people think cotto is overrated or unskilled fighter. The haters you have seen on here before are 1. Mayweather fans sticking up for their boy by saying cotto isnt on PBF level and 2. Margirito fans/Mexican fight fans that were pumped when cotto (a Puerto Rican) got beat by a Mexican.
