Cotto doesn't need an easy tune-up..he's anxious to get back to the top NOW!..while he's in his prime this is the best time to do so..

I'd prefer a Berto-Cotto..or..Clottey-Cotto over anything else out there..He MANGLES both!..his confidence or Champion mentality wasn't left behind July 26th..only his '0' was..that's about it!..

Margarito was the WINNER and took a HELL of a beating to get it!..his will kept him standing and going foward..so why is there no question about him getting in with someone like Mosley on his first fight back?..because he won his last fight?..did you see what he went through to get that win?...

I say Cotto goes for a belt and Unifies with Margarito in JUNE!..

I dont know if Soto Karass is tune-up level or not, but it seems they are going that way. I think Clottey is just a name they are throwing out there.

I think deep down Arum wont put Cotto in with a high risk no reward guy like Cintron, who can still crack.

I don't think cotto nutthuggers are able to understand the benefits of a tune up fight. They also don't understand that taking a beating like cotto did can f*&^ a fighter up mentally. They think Cotto is friggin superman. Haha yeah, superman would take knees to avoid punishment. someone needs to repost the end of the cotto-marg fight to remind cotto fans of the brutality and humiliation involved.

those punches had ZERO effect on margarito, didnt slow him down not a step.. in fact he increased his pace as the fight went on...

and if you dont understand the important of a tune-up, then i rest my case on you!

its not about bum ass fights or complete shut outs...... a fighter is like a racecar...... if you crash your car during a race are you going to say **** the repairs and race it next week in the condition its in?

NO..... your going to go back to the lab, see what mistakes you made, repair and rebuild it so it can be in top shape for the next race..... with a fighter its much the same....... go back to the gym, see what mistakes you made, rest up and rebuild your confidence

if you truly understood the fight game from a business standpoint and from a fighters standpoint you might understand what we're saying

Certainly a tune up fight is a good idea, but matching him against Clottey or Berto wouldn't be a horrible idea either. It wouldn't be "throwing him in with the lions" in my opinion. Neither Clottey nor Berto is so impressive that they warrant that type of response. It ain't like Meldrick Taylor gettin matched with Terry Norris or anything.

I don't believe Cotto had his future at the top beaten out of him. Obviously it remains to be seen how he'll bounce back, but I suspect he'll come back with conviction, reestablishing as a top fighter rather quickly.
