Say what you will about Bhop vs Calz,

but he still managed to sc**** out a win (even if it was ugly). The people who say he didn't land must not have watched the last 3 or 4 rounds of the fight, because by then Calzaghes rhythm was beginning to show.

        No it's not.

Calzaghe gets plenty of credit, and he will get further credit when he beats Jones. I doubt he's worried whether or not Arka from BoxingScene forums gives him credit, though.

Everyone here is saying that RJJ will expose or embarrass Calzaghe for who he really is. Calzaghe nuthuggers better eat their words if he loses!!!!

Yet if Calzaghe wins, then what? RJJ was shot to begin with? So basically its a lose/lose situations for Calzaghe anyway. If he wins, he was supposed to. If he loses then OMFGROFL YOU ****ING SUCK!!!

Realistically speaking, what is it gonna take for some of you to give the guy credit? Beat Dawson?
rematch Hopkins and fight Dawson and win in convincing fashion. He doesn't have to dominate, just win convincingly. Then I will say he is a truly great boxer and probably the best boxer of our generation above 160 lbs.

Taylor barely sc****d by Hopkins too, but that doesn't make him HOF bound.

Right, That Pesky detail about Calzaghe hand picking his opponents his whole career, Hanging on to a garbage WBO title for 18 defenses and pretending it was a real title, then waiting until his 2 best opponents crossed the 40+ year old mark to come to America and fight them. That's HOF material right there! Damn details....

OK, then let's talk about certain details such as Hopkins backing out of the Calzaghe fight in 2002 if we're talking about "waiting until his 2 best opponents crossed the 40+ year old mark to come to America and fight them". What you got to say about it?

But really, who cares man? Everyone ****s on Calzaghe, it's fashionable, you know. Check out this ridiculous James Toney quote:

"Joe Calzaghe-Jeff Lacy is a mismatch. Lacy is going to destroy that boy. He's too strong, he's a fighter - he's proved himself. Calzaghe never did anything. He beat Chris Eubank nine years ago, but what has he done since then? He's a joke, that's why he keeps pulling out of fights. I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled out of this one. Everybody in the UK is over-protected, but Lacy will be OK, because he's a fighter." ~ James Toney

Laughable, just like the clowns on this board. He was right though - it was a mismatch.

Toney was right about Calzaghe being a Joke that still hasn't done anything. He's also right about him being an overprotected bum. By the way Jeff Lacy sucks. Who cares what anyone said or thought before the fight. It's not even a big win now.
