Well, I'd imagine you're one of those guys that thought Johnson was robbed. No, robbed is what happened to Pea versus JCC. It was a close fight, and people seeing Jonson winning, I really have no problem with. Robbed? Naw.
Dawson is still learning. And old or not, Tarver came to fight. Dawson won 9-3, and hurt Tarver in the 12th.

Like I said, I'm wasn't hating on Joe when I said Dawson would beat him. But the Joe of today would be in trouble against Dawson. The chin issue of Dawson would probably not even be an issue against Joe. And that leaves us with everything else.
Joe would want no parts of Dawson as of right now. This isn't some guy with limited skills and only a huge punchers chance. Dawson has got the tools.

Dawson lost. He knows it too. Only reason Glen didn't win on the cards is because he's older and less profitable to the men in suits than Chad.

Dawson is the future, or so they hope. That's all it comes down to.

Having viewed the fight from a completely neutral standpoint and being a fan of neither fighter, I see it like Dawson's fans think he won, and everyone else knows what happened.

Dawson quite impressed me in the Tarver fight, but like someone else said, it makes you wonder if Tarver is really shot, or maybe had a bad night, or if Dawson is very good. I would only say one thing -- watch out for the hype train. We saw what happened to Pavlik when he faced elite competition. It would be unfair to build Dawson up in the same way. In some ways, Chad is still untested, so before anyone suggests he'd whip an extremely experienced fighter such as Joe Calzaghe, think again.

Roy is Past his Prime; everybody knows it, including himself.

He doesn't have the same confidence either...you can see it in the way he fights...and the way he acts on 24/7. It's like he is hoping to draw back what he used to be...have a bit of luck. It's quite sad. But if he pulls it off, it will be inspiring.

Roy has been KFTO twice already and didn't look the same since returning to 175. He will NEVER be the same. Tarver and Chris Byrd were affected by the weight-loss as well...it's over for him to be "great," but I do concede, he can pull something special out for one fight.

The Fact that Calzaghe is fighting Roy now, tells you Roy is past it.

Roy can still win though...it only took Foreman One punch to stun Moorer and then a follow up punch to knock him out. If Jones can take the same ass-whooping Foreman was going through, I have my doubts, but who knows...maybe for this one fight where he knows he Must give everything, he could pull it off.

Everyone here is saying that RJJ will expose or embarrass Calzaghe for who he really is. Calzaghe nuthuggers better eat their words if he loses!!!!

Yet if Calzaghe wins, then what? RJJ was shot to begin with? So basically its a lose/lose situations for Calzaghe anyway. If he wins, he was supposed to. If he loses then OMFGROFL YOU ****ING SUCK!!!

Realistically speaking, what is it gonna take for some of you to give the guy credit? Beat Dawson?
How about... Jones sucks because you can say with 100% confidence "When Calzaghe beats Jones" instead of "If Calzaghe beats Jones"... fair?

As much as I am a fan of Calzaghe, Dawson is a super tough matchup for him. He's too damn athletic, quick, and BIG. Calzaghe doesn't belong at light heavyweight to begin with. I've been saying it since before he fought bhop there.

There will be no excuse and yes Joe is supposed to win the fight...it's the way it is, he wants that pay day he gotta except the fall out...Jones is past his prim but I for some weird reason think he still has something left and based on seeing Joe fight I think Roy will either defend and counter punch his way to victory , I think body blows will win it for him...But on the flip side with joes charge in style we may see a Johnson...I ain't got **** on this fight other than being a fan of Jones for so long and I hope he wins...But on the other hand if he wins we get a Hopkins rematch and all y'all that wanted that Pavllik fight for joe would probably get that...If tarver loses again and jones lose they will fight again and Hopkins could fight dawson whatever theres lots od cool possible fights in this mix I just wanna see Jones Hopkins after both have beat p4p fighters and if Jones loses so be it it happens and thats the way it is...but if it is to close a card score and Jones lands cleaner punches like B-Hop did I will think it's bull**** clean punching is all i care about which is why i ain't with joe he's sloppy.

Da Spirit - the first time I watched that fight, I really did think Glen Johnson was robbed. The second time I watched the fight, I had it closer. This is just my opinion, which doesn't count for much, but the way I see it that fight was either a draw or a Johnson win. Johnson was picking off too many of Chad's shots with his gloves. I don't know if I would go so far as to say "robbery", but I will go as far as to say that I don't see how you could have Chad winning it.

Jones is older and a bit slower and possibly even worn after his long career of fighting. But I still hope that he beats Cal and believe it to be entirely possible. However, put those two together while both are prime and Jones makes Cal look foolish. In this fight I just hope the ref calls the cuffing when it happens.............Rockin'

I might be a Calzaghe fan, but I'm always the first to admit that a PRIME RJJ destroys a prime Calzaghe.
