I don't think anyone picked Vic apart from his rabid Armenian fans! I didn't think he had a chance to be honest either. Mijares had showed he had brilliant defense and a great chin along with and, of course, his amazing boxing skills. Well, all that, and more, was shown by the little 'Crab-Man' Darchinyan tonight. Amazing skills on offense and defense. He showed a brilliant array of defensive moves tonight and nullified everything Mijares had.

I think littler Vic moves back into the P4P race with this huge victory. This is massive. One more Aussie back in proper title dominance, unlike the *** Mundine! Vic should fight Mundine at MW. He would out-slick him and knock him out!

I can't get over it. He didn't just win by some semi-horrible decision. He completely out-classed and dominated one of the best fighjters in any weight class today in Mijares who had shown that he was capable of fighting any style and dominating your typical power puncher. Well, Vic showed he is much, much more than just a power puncher tonight! He actually has made great gains in his boxing skill and defense. I'm stunned!

Don't think many people saw that coming. I know I picked Mijares by UD but Vic showed that he is a lot better than people thought. It's gonna be interesting to see where he goes from here, hopefully Montiel will be his next fight.

Man great night for as Armenians, I'm happy for both of them Vic and Vanes, althoug I saw only Vic's fight......

But honestly Vic did much better than I thougt, he outboxed one of the best boxers in the world and that wasn't a fluke win, Vic dominated from the first second of the fight until the KO.......

Why does nobody bump my threads after a fight when my prediction is correct?

I give full credit to Vic Darchinyan who fought a very intelligent fight, not letting Mijares get into his rhythm!

I felt the same way I thought Mijares was just the higher class of fighter. Vic though has improved a lot especially defensively and made Mijares look like the unskilled boxer. I still have faith that Mijares will come back and still be a great fighter, but Vic was the better fighter tonight and deserves praise for his performance.
