cotto easy Ko. i say 9th. the forbes fight showed me a lot from Berto. he doesnt know how to finish, he doenst have Ko type Power, he gets tag too much and get buzz a lot. He's only asset, and is very good, is his speed. i think he is the fastest handed 147 pounder right know. But he havent develope well enough, to fight Cotto, margarito, Williams, just not yet. If this fights happend Berto will be in the same scenario as vargas was against Tito. if they wait 2 or 3 fights then they will know how ready he is, or if he will never be a elite at 147. But Berto is fun to watch.

Cotto recieved worse than a KO.. He was broken down like a father beats his child... AND I LIKE COTTO but I can admit the truth.. I said that Margo would get him cuz he has never faced a guy who has made him go backwards until Margo.. he was winning the fight thru and thru... but really Margo got clean shots only in the 11th round... which Cotto couldn't take... he didn't "resort" to his knee, he was BEATEN to it... LITERALLY. And PLEASE man... I haven't seen a towel thrown in for a long time... but yea.. it was ugly in there that day..
I hate to comeback with the same ****. Cotto was dead tire, thats why he took the knees. Did you see Vazquez-Marquez 1. Vazquez had to quit because he could not Breath through his broken nose. cotto had the same thing. Broken nose, but instead of quitting(wich is understandable, do to the circustances)he elected to fight. By the 5th round he was dead, he was fighting on instincts. in the 11th round cotto recieve 3 straight punches to the face with his hands down and he didnt went down,10secs later he took a knee cuz he was exausted. and even then he was beating margo to the punch. You will see in the rematch how different is when you are not swallowing blood and can not breath.

Berto's good but I don't think he could hang with a Cotto.

I can see Berto hurting Cotto at some point, but equally, Cotto would definitely hurt Berto and probably take him out at some point.

Yeah, what he said. I'm not gonna write it again. And no Cotto wasn't KTFO, but yeah I accept it... if Cotto didnt take that knee he would have been in a couple of seconds... He was just too tired, but the story will be diferent in the rematch youll see and as borikua said "And the new Welterweight Champion of the World!!!!! Miguel Angel COOOOOOOTTOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Nobody is gonna stop him

Wow. If it happens props for both fighters. Cotto should take a easier fight after being beaten by Margarito and Berto is going to move up from Forbes to Cotto is very dangerous. Still This is what boxing needs great fights now not maybe later.

I would LOVE to see this fight happen. Cotto is my favorite fighter so obviously i will be rooting for him but im a Berto fan too.

I think Cotto will be too much for Berto. Berto is very good when you allow him to do what he wants to do. When he throws and you throw back rather than cover up you can catch him. I noticed that in the Forbes fight when he fought back and all Berto's previous opponents just covered up and allowed Berto to do his thing. Cotto is a confident fighter (hopefully still is after the loss) and wont allow Berto to dictate things. Berto also doesnt fight well when being pressured.

Overall, I just think Cotto will be too much for him. You look at Cotto and he doesnt do 1 thing amazingly good and isnt that flashy but hes extremely well rounded and knows how to get the job done in the ring. Berto's never seen anything like him in the ring, while Cotto has been in there with guys like Malignaggi, Torres, Quintana, Zab Judah, Sugar Shane Mosley, and that monster they call Margarito.

                    Cotto by TKO.
