Fix or not, DLH wasn't beating Hopkins. I'm actually surprised that 2 "experts" picked Pac, though if the odds turn out to be 8 to 1 or some crap, I might drop a hundo on the little fella.
Jim, I'm witcha. In fact, that's what made me say "hmmm." Hopkins took it way too easy. Then again, didn't take much for Oscar to fall down.

This fight is a complete farce. Cannot believe this is actually gonna happen.
IF DLH Knocks out Pacquiao early, he should be DISGRACED with himself. And i think he even knows this, and will probably carry Pacquiao till at least round 8 or 9
my complete sentiments!
but i think theres a chance dlh stretches it the whole distance.
business man oscar see's future $ signs in pinoy fans.

i think people are being way to hard on this fight...
pacquaio (the p4p best in the world...for the record) is being treated like a gary lockett against a kelly pavlik...
when all actuality pacquaio is very skilled, talented, and he's currently THEE best boxer in the entire world...
oscar de la hoya is one of the greatest of his time...a future hall of famer no doubt about it...
but oscar is past his prime ladies and gentelmen...34 (or i forgot if he's 35) years old...he still has lots of ability left and looked like he turned the clock back in his tune-up against forbes...
point is i think this fight is much closer due to the fact de la hoya is aged.
prime for prime i pick oscar by a knockout in the 8th...
i see this being a close split decision still in favor of oscar but i refuse to bet cash on this fight due to the fact pacquaio has MORE THAN A LEGIT CHANCE AT BEATING DE LA HOYA...
its much closer than people are calling it...
i wish people would give pacquaio more credit...
and i dont want to hear the size arguement...on fight night in his last several fights he's weighed in at or around 147...granted he's short but the difference in height is no different virtually (1in bigger difference to be exact) than margarito v. cotto...
de la hoya is naturally bigger buts its not like de la hoya is going in against a 126lb fighter...pacquaio fights (on fight night) at the welterweight limit...so he its not like he has to pack on a ton of weight for the fight...
ya at 1st i was all against the fight, now i'm alittle intrigued and i want to see the outcome and how mannys gonna look in that weight class . . . but i still dont give manny a shot. dlh not pavlik and manny's not bhop, so in no way are we gonna see something like that happen again.
i dunno if he'll hold true to his word but roach said if dlh even 1lb over the 147 manny wont fight, so lets see if dlh can even make weight first.
