He tried to come to America. Blame Warren for the fact that he didn't. Also, remember when Hopkins backed out of a fight deal in 2002, just days before the contract was due to be signed? Yes, Joe tried to fight him SIX YEARS ago. As far as I know, Warren also tried to arrange a fight with Jones several times. For what it's worth, and I know you can't trust everything that comes out of Frank Warren's mouth, Hopkins and Jones wanted nothing to do with Calzaghe back then. There's a documentary on Calzaghe where Warren talks about it. I forget the name of the doc.

Joe himself has been wanting to fight those guys for years, and he's been on video saying it. I have fights on video going back many years where he's mentioned it in post-fight interviews, etc.

This is the exact problem. People talk **** about Calzaghe because they don't know **** about him. They saw a few fights, and they think they know it all. Well, in boxing, there's a lot of politics. There's a ton of stuff we don't know about, and things are not always what they seem. People talk crap about Joe constantly, and most of it is out of ignorance.
