He shouldn't (and won't). A second fight would be just as atrocious as the first. Who the hell would want to sit through that?

i'm a big fan of kessler, but hopkins is my favorite fighter, i like both fighters alot.

but there are a few factors that really seperate these two.

hopkins has much more experience with a much tougher collection of fighters. he is far too slick, far slicker than anyone kessler has ever seen. i think that hopkins inside fighting would be unstopped by kessler.

kessler, although i think is a great fundamental fighter, i think he's too much of a stand up fighter, i think that he's too predictable in his punch selection for hopkins. i don't think that he has the diversity needed to beat hopkins, kind of like pavlik, i think that you need far more than great fundamentals to deal with hopkins, let alone beat him.

hopkins i think would control pace, distance, i think that he would confuse kessler with feints and throw away punches, i think that hopkins would disrupt kesslers momentum or groove by stopping his attack by well timed clinches, and just dirty it up in there against kessler.

like i said, i think highly of kessler, but i think that hopkins would really do a number on him due to all around better skill and experience. but i will say this, if kessler keeps progressing, i think his day of being something extra special in boxing are near and will come in the not so distane future.....

No incentive for Hopkins to fight Kessler... and it's like taking a step backward in rewarding competition. Chad Dawson would be the hotter ticket if he couldn't get Joe or Jones again.

If Hopkins don't take the Roy-Joe C winner, I don't see anything else he'd be up for, includin Kessler, even tho it's a good fight that's winnable for him.

Mikkel hurt himself ****ing around not making it a mission to get a big fight after Cal. If he had to ditch his belt he should have. Now he's in Winky Wright limbo and his only attraction is a loss.

Great post...agree to a certain extent but still feel the match would make most boxing fans mouth water...

Good post man...I would certainly be very apprehensive after their first encounter to fork out another $50.00 to hope for the best in the second stanza...just like this ODLH vs Pac bull****...im boycotting this mutha****er...what a joke to boxing it is.
If it were free I would watch it tho...same as the Calzaghe/Hopkins rematch...hell I would consider paying maybe $20.00 tops for that one if push came to shove.

I hear Palle wants to put Kessler against Larsen, but Sauerland wants Larsen vs. Bute in Denmark because they got a TV deal in Denmark and are competing vs. Palle over there. Not a bad deal for the Bute camp if Mogens is unsuccessful.....some Danish exposure while at the same time setting the stage for bute vs. kessler some time in the future if Bute gets gy Larsen

Yeah bro I heard that...the boxing public are right though Kessler does need to step it up...sure hes only 29 but he has said in the past he will only have a handful more fights as hes made enough to live comfortably on...and that was before the Sartision fight...so times a ticking...Larsen would be a mistake but would makem both a nice payday...Kessler would totally outclass him tho and its a pointless match...the resume isint looking to good as of late for him.
