All I was saying is if thats the way their gonna measure Calslappy than give Ottke the same consideration ! I Calslappy is #1 than Ottke is # 2 ! Personally I think A prime Benn would've beaten both of them ! I don't agree with neither of them being #1 or #2 ! But I was trying to prove a point !
Calzaghe only had 2 controversial decisons in his career, against an Englishman in England and an American in America. This is vastly different to the amount of hometown calls that went to Ottke in Germany. Calzaghe also beat Kessler, who was arguably an all-time great super-middle, and was certainly better than anyone Ottke beat. The way Calzaghe performed against Lacey and kessler was on a different level to anything Ottke did in a pro fight. Calzaghe was in a different class to ottke.

he is a good fighter, but VERY protected. I scored the first Ottke vs Charles Brewer fight for Brewer. The 2nd one I dont remember. I also thought James Butler probably beat Ottke cause Ottke did nothing but run away and the judges gave every round to Ottke which is a joke. Ottke vs Glen Johnson was also close but I dont remember how I scored it. Lots of pple say it was a robbery
Ottke was skillful, but without his protection he would NEVER EVER have retired undefeated. If he fought in america without protection, he would have retired with 5 or 6 losses cause 1.)he wouldnt have fought easy opponents like he did in germany and 2.) he wouldnt have gotten all those gift decisions.

He retired UNDEFEATED. That seems to be a huge plus here.

In order to prove a fighter is great you have to beat the best, I'll take quality over quantity any day of the week. I really dislike any fighter that fights the same quality of opposition over and over again, its like how Bute was. Its like we'll no shyt he's undefeated and looks invincible, he's been fighting the same level of opposition his whole career

To me you must have a p*ssy mindset to never want to fight the best, like you're scared, you know you're lying to yourself.

The only fighters I really excuse are younger guys, but guys that are like 30 years old and still ducking dudes are a disgrace.
