when you come across the thread (because we've had threads like this for years), you instantly think what was the worst beating a guy took. Floyd instantly popped in my head so I voted that way. that's not the only definition of "worst loss" but on these forums that's what we generally mean and think of when we hear that.

most EMBARRASSING loss is usually how we refer to a loss to a very weak opponent

it's kind of a pointless poll anyway since Mayweather clearly beat him up worse than anyone before or since and Gomez was clearly the worst fighter he lost to

Fair enough... I guess I'll keep that in mind for the future.

De La Hoya beat Gatti up worse than Mayweather IMO... Mayweather just had a completely flawless victory. Oscar got hit at least a couple of times by Gatti that I can remember... I don't remember a single "real" landed punch on Mayweather.

I think Alfonso Gomez > Micky Ward by the way.

How the hell can you say Alfonso Gomez is better than Ward? That's just ****** man. What the hell has Gomez ever done to make you think he's even a decent fighter? I don't think Gomez lasts 12 against Judah and I don't think Gomez comes close to beating the Gatti of 2002 and 2003. I don't think Gomez stands a chance against Emmanuel Augustus either. Ward is a much, much better fighter than Gomez

Ward just had a chin... I'm not too impressed. Matter of interpretation I guess.

I just don't see too many quality wins for Ward other than Augustus, which, to be frank, was not the best of decisions.

mayweather was the worst and most dominate beating gatti's ever taken. floyd landed in a couple of rounds 80% of his punches, and he was the smaller guy, and he had bad hands, and he looked perfect in that fight, landed flush shots, landed amazing counter shots, landed one of the most beautifully thrown and fluid combinations in boxing history in round 6 of the fight. from his feints, to his body shots, floyd made gatti look like he just got into the sport.

Manfredi by a long shot. To lose terribly IN HIS PRIME, to a total bum, who got destroyed by Mayweather, is a horrible loss. Ward I have respect for as at least a strong fighter, Mayweather is an all time great, Gomez and even Baldomir was far past Gatti's prime, the dude was shot. Even Gomez would beat Manfredi.

Actually losing to Ward was good for his career bad for his legacy maybe but losing to Ward gave us one of the most exciting boxing trilogies ever.
