I hope this happens...come on Bernard you have made enough money mate and RJJ more than likely wont beat JC so this fight makes good sense.
    I agree.....this fight sounds good.

Mentioned earlier in an other thread. Morgens Palle interview after the Häussler fight to a danish newspaper BT:

"Now we can look forward, but we have to await the Calzaghe - Jones fight. I hope for a Calzaghe win, because if Jones wins, they for sure will make and other Hopkins - Jones fight. But if Calzaghe wins, there will be no interest in a Hopkins - Jones fight. Hopkins will go after Calzaghe, but he will not fight Hopkins again, and then Hopkins is without a fight. This could open up for a Hopkins - Kessler fight" stated the day after in Oldenburg by Mogens Palle to sporten dk (BT a danish newspaper)

Mogens Palle wants to make it clear, that there are more possibilities for a fight on US - television in the spring.

"We have more than one lucrative offer fore some televised fights in US but we awaits the November 8. fight, which can change everything". Palle don't want to explain further about these fights offer in US.

        (sorry for the translation)

can you really see hopkins beating mikkelthoguh. hopkins is a good fighter - a great fighter even but he fdoesn't strike me as someone who will get carried away with his win over pavlik. kess is no pavlik, kess hits harder, is bigger, stronger, quicker and just has more plain talent than pavlik.

hopkins is a shrewd operator, he mentioned in the build up to the fight with pavlik that he knows his limitation, he knows what he can and can't do. he knows what is beyond him and what is not, personally i think mikkel is beyond him. mikkel has a similar style to pavlik but as mentioned above he is twice the boxer, if hopkins thinks kess's only big weapon is his big right hand then he is very much mistaken.

if hopkins takes the fight i worry about him seriously being hurt, i could see him neutralizing the plodding the one dimensional pavlik by moving to the right and throwing lead left hooks and sharp rights but mikkel is different beast. he has an awsome left hook a piercing jab and smart footwork.

whats more hopkins hasn't done that well against fighters his own size with the exception of pavlik (was out of his ewight class as well) and tarver, wherea mikkel would be more well suited to fighting at a higher weight class, hes already huge for SMW. kess would probably be the most poweful opponent that hopkins faces, and id be willing to bet that he would be the first to KO him.

I think its already been touched on but why not Hopkins vs Kessler? Not only is it a really intruiging match up in terms of style etc but its the perfect chance for one of them to stake a claim for a rematch with Calzaghe. Although I probably think Dawson deserves a shot the most out of all 3.

When I consider potential fights, I dont really care how much each fighter is getting paid. I just want to see it happen cos Im a boxing fan unlike you.

168 or 170. Doubt it will make that much of a difference.

people actually think kessler would have a chance against hopkins lol. did they not just watch the pavlik fight. both those guys have concrete feet. hopkins will always beat them. to beat hopkins you have to move around a lot and miss thousands of punches.

Yes, this fight is realistic . Good purse for Hopkins and will take this fight at 43 against an unknown boxers instead of going for winner of Calzaghe - RJJ sure mate

I dont care what purse he gets or whether its "realistic" to you. **** sake, you're not even a boxing fan. Wouldnt you want to see this fight? Both Calzaghe and Jones said they arent interested in Hopkins.
