If you believe Williams people actually offered Margarito 4 million to fight regardless of the actual facts that have been reported and verified by Earner on this forum, then why is it outlandish for someone to believe the 8 Million offer?

neither should be called a coward, but to compare Cotto and Mayweather when Cotto actually took the fight and went in there trying to HURT Margo and then for you to say that HE out of the two should be called the coward is pretty much one of the most disgusting things ive read on this forum.

Guys read the original post. He wasn't calling Cotto a coward, he was calling people who called Floyd a coward for not fighting Marg, than Cotto a coward for taking a knee, hypocrites.

my arguement is that simply cotto had enough balls to get in the ring with margarito...and went 11 rounds with him...and virtually shut him out for the first half of the fight on top of it.

i dont think its a fight floyd should take but for a different reason...

i think floyd shouldnt take the fight because there are fighters out there that have a better chance at beating him than margarito...margarito is basically one dimensional and floyd would just prove than even further...only chance margarito would have is a punchers chance...which is still good odds considering his stamina and workrate...

i get on floyd about it because how can he say he's the best p4p fighter in the world (and be considered it by the media/public/fans) but not fight the virtual best (or if he wasnt retired the number 1 contender he would have been after beating cotto) in his own division???

i think floyd "retired" temporarily so someone could knock off cotto and margarito (the two toughest fighters in that division)...he wants an easy fight against someone...one where he fools the public into thinking they are better than they are...

If floyd came back into boxing tomorrow he wouldnt be the top p4p fighter in the world in my book...not until he fights the best in and near his division...

there are still questions left with oscar...that fight was close...7 rounds to 5 in his favor...a rematch isnt out of the question (But it will be as oscar keeps getting older)...and if pacman beats oscar then thats a challenge mayweather would need to step up and take...and he would need to fight the winner of a cotto v. margarito rematch...those are the 3 biggest fights (in my opinion) that are left for him in boxing...

once he stops taking competition that is seriously outclassed by someone of half his ability THEN he can make a claim to THEE p4p best...but these ricky hatton fights and such are impressing me or anyone for that matter...we all knew he should have fought cotto instead of hatton...we ALL knew it...but why did he fight hatton insteaD???

because hatton is:

punches really wide.
out of his prime.

he should have fought cotto who would have been much more challenging in a boxing sense...not hatton who only knows to brawl.
