The only fights really left would be Hopkins II or Dawson and I don't think Dawson brings in enough money at this stage as he isn't even a HBO fighter. I don't think Joe will fight again though, I think he might have taken on Hopkins again if he thought it was gonna be an exciting fight but to have your final fight against a fighter who specialises in making people look bad does not make for a great send-off.

Why not tarver or Johnson then ?
Tarver has the name and should be easy.
Johnson might be a hard fought war to go out with.

They also both been recently been beaten by Dawson which would take them out of the picture really. Dawson and Hopkins are the top LHW's and the only 2 which interest Joe. Tarver's just not popular enough and Johnson has too many L's on his record.

He's already beaten Hopkins. Maybe Dawson, but who has Dawson beat that makes him so great? He barely got past Johnson (who arguabley won that fight), and he beat an old Tarver. The whole point of the Roy fight is to go out beating a big name.
