I can't imagine them doing much better on such short notice...

Rahman had the power to KO Lewis... that's better than most fighters in the heavyweight division can offer at this point on such short notice. It takes a while to prep a fighter who is going to outskill a champion. A fighter with tons of power needs less prep for a fight.

I can't imagine that people really have a problem with Rahman being the short notice defense while waiting for Povetkin's foot to heal.

Poor Rahman. If this happens he's gonna get KTFO.

Atleast we fans will get to see another hw fight this year, better then no fights. Toney would have been a better opponents for Wlad but he will want too much money. Rahman is the best choice

I was hoping for Wlad vs. Valuev, but on short notice, Hasim Rahman is as good as we could expect.

Yeah they were HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA and now the world champion at HW is exploring that same Rahman, This was after Wlad himself said they were looking at a top ten fighter (Samething that Haye said)....this is just toooo funny.

But Haye did not look to find a replacement after his initial opponent pulled out.
And Haye will be getting mocked for the rest of his (short) HW career, such a big mouth and the least suitable opponent to back up his claims at being a savior.

Wlad, on the other hand does not do any of it, and instead of just seating on his ass and enjoying ****tails somewhere on the beaches of Spain in the extra free given time, he is looking for someone to fight, albeit the pool is too shallow on such a short notice.

Rahman wouldn't be acceptable as a normally chosen voluntary defense for Wlad, but they don't have a lot of options in the current situation.

Rahman is IBF highest-ranked available opponent, so it makes sense. I'm just glad to see Wlad will not cancel the Dec 13 date.
