Is Roy Jones Jr, The greatest of his generation????

Man was super blessed with athletic ability and was real flashy, but was he over and beyond others such as Tito,Oscar,Floyd,Hopkins???????????????????

I always felt that Jones benefited from a weak LHW divison where he was able to dominate just on superior athletic ability. Seriously, his toughest challenge at his LHW run was Virgil Hill, great win but hardly greatest of his generation.

I certainly rate him over Trinidad Floyd and Oscar. Its probably pretty close between him and Bernard now.

Skillset-wise, definitely the best. Resume-wise, definitely not. I'd probably go with either DLH or Bhop if we were going by resume.

Roy's legacy is established. He basically won his 1st 50 professional fights without losing. He was the 1st man in over 100 years to win legitimate MW & HW titles along the way he added Hall of Famers like Hopkins Toney, & Trinidad to his resume. He is 1 of the great fighters of all time.

Roy's reign at LHW is very similar to Mosley's reign at 135, a lot of no names and less than stiff competition.
