I think P-will is winning this one...
Who do you believe that can beat Mayweather

I voted Williams even though I think he'd beat Williams because Williams has the best chance on the list IMO. Personally and this might be an unpopular view, I think stylisitcally Clottey has the best chance at WW against Floyd.Comment

i've had a short 3 person list for awhile now and here it is...(in my specific order):
Oscar De La Hoya - For proof see oscar v. floyd...the truth is in there.
Miguel Cotto - He has a wonderful balance between boxer and brawler.
Manny Pacquiao - very good speed, and strength...
i would go into paragraphs and paragraphs of detail on why these 3 fighters have the best chance at beating mayweather but everyone knows what those reasons are...
however i think people are confused when they pick guys like margarito, williams, or even mosley to beat mayweather and im going to tell you why.
Margarito IS a one dimensional fighter...plain and simple...you cant argue he's a superior boxer to many fighters...he's not more of a superior boxer to cotto or williams so he surely wont be more superior than a PRIME shane mosley or a current floyd mayweather.
cotto had margarito more than beat in the first half of their fight...if i remember correctly at the halfway point i had it 5 rounds to 1 for cotto...that was cotto BEFORE he tired out...when he was boxing, being slick and sly...pulling a "roy jones" at the end of round two and outclassing margarito at the halfway point.
that is simply miguel cotto that did that to him...now take a crafty, defensive genius in floyd mayweather jr...margarito would look like he did in the first half of the cotto fight for all 12 rounds...only chance i'd give margarito in that fight is if he got lucky with a punch at some point that hurt floyd...which isnt likely.
williams has a height advantage but doesnt know how to use it...he has a pretty good jab but doesnt use it...at welterweight he has big advantages...but doesnt know how to use them...do you get where im going with this??? he needs more time in his career before i'd even consider favoring him over floyd jr...he's just too rough around the edges...give him time and if they bring him up right he has the potential to run 147.
i would favor shane over floyd in a heartbeat if it were them prime for prime but this is 2008 and who are we kidding? shane is past his prime so with that i dont need to explain further...floyd is now faster and much closer to his prime than shane is...while it would still be competitive floyd would walk away with a clear cut UD...Comment

I think Hatton could beat him the referee was fair. The English are apostate but because of their history there still remains alot of Catholic in them.Comment

Thats the thing about Williams, with his size and athletic ability he could present an impossible problem for Floyd to solve, but its very hard to tell. After what Quintana did to him, its hard to say for sure that he could beat Floyd.
Cotto would be a very, very tough fight for Floyd. Cotto would box well, apply pressure, jab etc. Although I would pick Floyd in that fight.
Margarito would definitely give Floyd a lot of activity and aggression as he always does, but I think Floyd wouldnt really take many of those punches, and would counter cleanly all night to a UD.
Pacman wouldnt have much of a chance honestly, bad style matchup + size disadvantage.
So yeah if I had to bet on one of the four, I guess it would be Williams.Comment
