I'm very surprised you haven't been banned yet. You add nothing to the forums except rampant Calzaghe hatred. It's pretty tired. Don't you have something better to do with your life?

Yeh this is one of the main thing that pisses me off with Joe, and more so Enzo, it shows some amateurish ways in what is a non orthodox coach or training setup. It has it's pro's too of course, Enzo's produced some talented fighters. But at this level sparring with guys whom can at least go some way to mimick size, reach, strength and styles is such a common tool they simply miss out not doing it I feel. You only have to look at Calzaghe's results for proof.

Against Kessler he was taking hard upper cuts up until round 4, he should have known from researching Kessler and sparring with someone doing similar moves, that that would happen. Instead he took some sloggs, adapted in fight and then won pretty much all rounds there on.

Hopkins he was dropped by a right hand he couldn't see in round one. Against Hopkins, obviously watch out for that one Joe. Clearly he was too naive to Hopkins, what he'd do, and didn't have a feel for even 30% of such a style as a result of sparring with the same old guys. Again he takes it, loses some rounds, and adapts taking most if not all rounds past R4.

There's a clear theme there and it's amazing they don't recognise it and put it right. Roy will take some early rounds, but hopefully that's all this time.

Any info on who Roy is sparring with? I haven't heard anything.

Does he usually have the same sparring partners or switch it up from fight to fight?

He dropped a southpaw in sparring recently. He did it so fast that it scared him supposedly. It was mentioned at his rally I think.
