yeah what i put that down to was the fact he was able to back Morales up

if go back and watch that fight and keep your eye out for how Morales controlls the majority of the fight because he claims the centre of the ring and does not back up he holds his ground

as soon as Barrera starts pressing the attack because he realises he could be behind Morales surrenders the centre of the ring and lets Barrera back him up and as in the first fight Barrera's success came when Morales back hit the ropes

I haven't seen the fight in awhile but from what I remember, Barrera was trying to circle and box in the hopes that Morales would throw a lot of punches and give him opportunities to counter. It didn't work so he switched to an aggressive style and started roughing Morales up.

I guess the decision in the second fight was a makeup for the first fight.

yeah i thought Marco won the 1st clearly allthough it was a competitive fight

i think Barrera would wipe the floor with JMM in his prime when they fought i just felt Barrera fought like he thought he was winning the fight like it was already in the bag and it cost him in the end

Barrera is just a more versatile fighter. When Barrera is defensive, he can be offensive as well. That is what Marquez and Barrera have in common.

But when Marquez is offensive, he can't be defensive. Barrera can be.

yeah and when Barrera does leave himself open when attacking he can hold onto the shots cause he has a solid chin

JMM cant seem to stay on his feet against good fighters ,Barrera,Norwood,Pac twice

A True Warrior never QUITS! Stop lying to youselves. Barrera's corner stopped the Pac Fight. Because Barrera wasn't going to quit. While Morales' corner was telling him to get up.

He fought the rest of the 11 rounds with a broken nose. He stood back up after all three and came back to put an awesome and competative show...for the full 12. Just a year earlier barrera gets the **** beat out of him and gets knocked out in the later rounds and gets the fight stopped after his corner sees he doesent have any balls to fight. What about the 2nd pac-barrera fight? dont tell me he was a full on warrior in that fight. He went in their to get a paycheck and proving he can last the whole 12. Morales was more of a warrior because he actually came to throw it down even though he knew he was completely screwed health wise...not to mention he holds a win over pac. JMM fought Pac in two awesome, close, and disputable fights and busted pac up more than anyone else. JMM>Barrera.
                  interesting that this was ignored

any fighter is capable of quitting under the right circumstances this is top class Boxing

some of the toughest fighters in Boxing history can be accused of quitting at some point but to hold it against them is nonesense

in my eyes Morales is no quitter the same way Duran is no quitter

there is probably more quit in Floyd Mayweather than Morales but Floyd just does not get put into that position cause he is so good defensively the Burton fight is the toughest fight he has been in and that was not that intense at all IMO
