Morales also took out Junior Jones, all of Barrera's ghost's, Morales ice'd em convincingly.

I think theres a arguement that Barrera can be considered better cause he was able to morph himself into a different fighter come the later years, but I like Morales style and vibe more then I would ever like Barrera's.

Jones also got beat McKinney and we know what Barrera did to him also the limited Richard Evatt had Jones on plenty of trouble on the undercard to Hamed v Ingle

thats fair enough though i guess Morales was a great fighter i enjoyed his various wars

the question is who is more of a "warrior" not who is better ...

it does not matter who they beat or who beat them but how they fought their fights...

        Warior = Erik Morales

Barrera stuck to his game plan of boxing Pac, and though its a fight startagy i disliked, its pacs fault for not trying to cut off the ring or engage Barera more. Pac did what Rocky did follow Barrera when he should of been pressing Barrera as Pac did with Solis.
how do u fight someone who deosnt want to engage. pac did tried rushing him but barrera would just hold and ran even faster. what a coward

Pac was too fast for Barrera that is probably why he did not get into many exchanges with Pac

also Barrera's brother was telling him he was infront the fight

is Jones jr a coward for not exchanging with Tarver in their 3rd fight

Two different situations. You can say that his body language towards the end of the first Pacquiao fight was suggestive that he was ready to submit. His corner came in and stopped it.

Morales is a smart person, moreso he is a family man and a real fighter. He is not a journalist or a fan who has never stepped in the ring. He knew the score, he understood he was in deep ****. Most fans, well, they like to see a guy go out there and get his brains pummeled for their enjoyment, regardless of how the fighters feel.

Of course if anything ever happens to them, they get a nice R.I.P. sig made of them, right?

Morales is all fighter and nothing any fan can say will ever change that.

Jones was finished by Kennedy McKinney in the fight before that. Barrera was Jones' last stand of greatness.

Barrera was the better fighter, IMO he won all three fights.

Simply put... Morales went to war about...... hmm.. 100% of the time he fought. So he quit at the end of his career... so what... at least he threw everything he had at pacquiao and didn't just run around the ring for 12 rounds just trying to survive.

I have seen many Mexican fighters.... and for me, Morales was the greatest warrior Mexico ever had. Period.

He might not have been the best fighter Mexico ever had... but one thing for sure is he was it's greatest warrior and Barrera cant even carry Morales' jock strap in that respect.
                  Completely agree.

12th round of Morales/Pacquiao I sums up Erik Morales...shows his warrior mentality. Erik had that fight in the bag and could have coasted (for 1 round) like Barrera did in his second fight with Pac (12 rounds), instead he put his ass on the line and went to war with the most explosive offensive fighter in boxing. Turning SOUTHPAW of all things....legendary.

Morales never fought to survive, he always fought to give his fans a show. That is just one of the elements which separates him from Barrera, one of the things which makes him a greater fighter in my eyes.

                    and he won clearly IMO

True, Barrera did try and box to little effect early, but once he started going to war, he was kicking Morales' ass.
