They are fighting again on the same card in November. Discuss this potential match up.
Are Kirkland and Angulo being steered into a showdown?

I don't think they are getting steered into a showdown. I think they are two really good prospects and HBO wants to show them as much as possible so they have new blood to sell. They will fight in the future but way down the line like 5 years down the line. I think right now Kirkland is the more polished fighter and would win.Comment

Angulo isn't scheduled for 11/22 as far as I know. Kirkland had a acrimonious break up with Angulo's promoter, Gary Shaw, so unless it was part of a settlement a matchup between the two seems unlikely.Last edited by Scott9945; 10-25-2008, 01:35 PM.Comment

It'd be a great fight but I think both bring action in the ring and are simular to each other like two pitbulls, with that being said Kirkland would knock Angulo out.Comment

Angulo has shown more to me. Kirkland seems kind of one dimensional at this point. Dude gets hit, but just knows how much power he has.
Angulo can tactically break a fighter down and seems much more polished. If Kirkland followed his normal game plan against Angulo I think he would get seriously hurt. Angulo is a tough guy and can take a punch, but he's also a very good body puncher and has power in both hands.
Angulo KO7, although I agree that if it does happen, it wont be for a long time.Comment

Angulo has fought the way better competition... All of kirklands opponents have been bums or angulo's leftovers (cortes). Angulo throws the shorter accurate shots. Kirkland throws wreckless wild punches. Angulo 4KO if that fight ever happens.Comment

If they also fighting the same people they might be heading to fight each other but at a later much later time.Comment

Hopefully they do fight each other later on and they are still undefeated when they do.. that would be a great fight!. But im not riding the Kirkland hype train until i see him fight better competition and not be so wild.Comment
