jones and hopkins are not exciting anymore. they have both become counterpunchers who don't take risk anymore. exciting fights happen when both fighter takes risks. the aggression has gone out of jones and hopkins hans't been an executioner in years. jones should have stopped trinidad. the same goes for hopkins with pavlik.
they are too smart veterans making good money off their names and what they used to be; you can't hate them for that.

NO way Bhop is as fast!!!!! Never has been, never will be. Styles make fights, JC and KP do not have power anywhere near ROy's and Bhop is quite aware and wont be so gung-ho to jump in there. Bhop's style is clinching, Roy will eat that up.

Like i said, comapre their fights against Trinidad. A prime Jones would of destroyed Trinidad. But he didnt come close. Not sure if he even hurt him.

I dont think Jones power is what it used to be. Calzaghe has taken many big shots over the years yet Hopkins is the one who put him down and hurt him later on in the fight. He is more dangerous than Jones at this stage.

If you are talking about hand speed then you got some serious problems there.

Roy still has some of the fastest hands in the game. Legs and reflexes may be gone but you could never question the man's hand speed.

Bernard's hand speed isn't close to Jones'. The topic is not open for debate.

Hopkins counter punches are very fast. Maybe its his timing but against Calzaghe and Pavlik he threw some brilliantly timed counters.
More reflex speed than pure out and out out speed like Jones.

I'm pretty confident Hopkins would win the rematch, should it ever happen. Jones ain't beating Calzaghe either. Joe will be furious for his last fight. His will power is too great to lose to an aging Jones.

old roy would be an easier fight for ber-nard than young dawson. when RJJ, Hops, and tarver retire or get too shot to fight elite guys, dawson will be the man at 175. if the old, safety first roy gets beat by calzaghe, and i think he will, there'll be no reason for roy to fight anymore other than money

i keep saying all the "old" guys need to stay away from dawson.....hops may give him some trouble, but as a hopkins fan, i wouldn't choose dawson as his next opponent....but i've learned to never write hopkins off.....roy jones gets possibly KO'ed by chad dawson.........

Roy is using B-Hop to land the right deal for a Dawson fight. Roy measures his career by belts......Hopkins has no belts.

roy should stay away from dawson.....he loses both fights IMO, but dawson stops roy early.....in about 6-7....

speed kills.....but anybody in boxing will tell u, great timing can beat speed....hopkins posseses great timing, and although he can't fight for 3 mins. anymore, he gets an opening, he will attack......

roy's never had great defense.....he had great speed and great reflexes. he still has most of his speed, but no doubt he has lost a bit on the reflex end....hopkins can hurt him.......
