If Vera can land on Kirkland cleanly just a few times, he'll put him out. Vera isn't great, but he's better than Allen Conyers, Muhammad Said, Ricardo Cortes, and Ossie Duran, all of which were able to stun, or in some cases hurt Kirkland badly.

Kirkland will roll over him just like Lee would in a rematch. That was a fluke if I've ever seen one. I hope Vera is getting paid for this because this will be him cashing back out of relevance.

A fluke is a one punch come from behind knockout, not a 7 round beatdown in which one fighter, who is supposed to be superior, never finds a way to defend himself in close or maintain his distance. What Vera did was expose Lee's vulnerabilities, particularly in close, not earn a "fluke."

Discrediting upset wins because they didn't seem possible before the fight happened does no good for the sport.

LOL TRUE!!... Newayz im not a believer in kirkland yet. He throws wild and reckless, hasnt fought any good competition, and has been stunned alot in some of his fights. Vera is use to feeling Supermiddle and middle weight power. Im not sure if he has what it takes to pull off the upset but he has a chance.

Very true. I give Vera A LOT of props, he took Lee at 160, hes meeting Kirkland at 157, he was down to fight Andre Ward at 168, the guy is just a ballsy warrior.
Hard fight to pick, Kirkland has been chin checked pretty good. Gotta root for Vera, his win over Andy Lee was awesome.
