According to Dan Rafael, Golden Boy Promotions and Gary Shaw are finalizing a settlement over the promotional rights to junior middleweight prospect James Kirkland (23-0, 20 KOs). Provided the settlement agreement is signed by all, Kirkland will face Brian Vera (16-1, 10 KOs) at the agreed upon weight of 157 1/2, on November 22 with HBO televising. [details]
