#2 is flawed. The team was never presented with any offer from Dan. If Dan really was serious about this offer then why didn't Dan go to the team as well in making the rematch happen? All he said was he offered it to Bob and that was it. I know the team and Tony very well (I know George and Paul as much as a Cali beat guy can) and they never received a call from Dan at all. Now you will say "why should a promoter ask the team to make the fight when his promoter won't" but there is a case history of this between the two parties or do you forget? How do you think the first fight was made? Bob said no you are to fight Cotto and sign a new contract, Tony balked and turned his attention to Williams and Goossen. Deal was made but Bob threatened to sue, the went to Puerto Rico, the WBO said Bob had no case and the fight went forward. You mean to tell me it was okay to do it then but not now? Dan is talking even George admitted as much when I talked to him at the presser they had a while back

also IMO Dan is talking again. He knows that Bob is mad at them for the way the Pavlik negotiations went down and now he is saying that Bob should call them if they want to make a Clottey fight? He knows Bob will ignore it.

After Williams beat Margarito, the reason he didnt give him a rematch was because he was trying to UNIFY with Cintron. The match was supposed to be on the Vargas/Mayorga undercard and it got pushed back because of Vargas' anemia/his fat ass couldnt make weight. Cintron defended against Felciano and hurt his hand and could make the Williams fight due to the injury. It wasnt a matter of Williams not giving Margarito a rematch. He wanted to UNIFY against another champion. Hmmmm, rematch a guy he beat EASILY with BRUISED RIBS going into the fight, or unify the division? I'll let you think about that one.

Secondly, you cant be that close with Margarito...lol. The reason Margarito balked at Arum is because Arum lowballed him with a $900k offer to fight Cotto the first time and the Williams camp offered him $1.6million (his highest payday to date only making $1.3 million to fight Cotto). Margarito went for the money then. He made his biggest payday fighting PW and the $4 million he was offered was his biggest payday.

And thirdly, your argument about the offer not being made is asinine. Goosen and Company had a press conference in California, Fraudgaritoland, announcing the offer for $4million dollars. You mean to tell me that didnt happen?

I guess all of them are just spreading this unfounded rumor? The offer sheet was made to Arum, and Margarito is going to take LESS money to fight a beat up Cotto. In fact, I am sure Cotto will make more money.

Williams was Margarito's MANDATORY for more then a year. Margarito had 3 fights after Williams became his mandatory. And when the WBO ruled that Margarito had to sign to fight him, he tried to weasel his way out of the mandatory defense by asking the WBO to allow him to have a non-title match, fight Cotto, THEN make his mandatory defense. Thats a BIG difference from Williams beating him and making him get into the back of the line while he tried to UNIFY the division.

The fact is, Margarito has a LOSS to Williams, not the other way around. Williams erased his loss to Quintana by blowing him out. The only ones talking about the first fight are Margarito fans making excuse for Margarito DUCKING Williams once again. If Margarito makes anything less then $4 million dollars for fighting either Mosley or Cotto, what will his fans say about that?

How can Margarito be considered the man at 147 when there is a man ay 147 who beat him? Williams avenged his loss in spectacular fashion. Can Fraudgarito say the same?

Ive never seen Williams box so intelligend as Hopkins, not by a long shot. Actually Williams isnt intelligent or tactical at all against fighters he cant knock out early. Pavlik woul knock him out.
